CONTROL & DATA ACQUISITION
From simple process indicators to FIELDBUS control systems; GSI can meet all your control and data collection needs. Our broad offering includes:
Process Controllers
Controllers are used to provide automatic control of processes without the need for operator interaction. These devices accept inputs from temperature, pressure, level, flow or other process signals and provide digital or analog output signals to final control elements such as heaters or valves. Process set points are entered locally on the front panel or from a remote source and the integral PID (Proportional, Integral, Derivative) control algorithm provides precise control of the process.

Video Recorders
Video chart recorders provide a record of process variables for analysis or record keeping purposes. They can accept inputs from temperature, pressure, level, flow and other process signals in single channel or multi-channel versions. Chart ranges are configurable for each channel. Local data storage and Ethernet communications provide simplified networking and access over the Web.

Distributed Control Systems
Distributed Control Systems (DCS) provide process automation for batch and continuous processes by integrating control, data acquisition, human machine interface (HMI), and communications to higher-level systems. Control modules can be placed close to the process to minimize wiring costs. Operator workstations are provided with graphical process displays and operator keyboards to enhance the monitoring and control of key process parameters. Data can be shared and recipes downloaded from the plant network via Ethernet.
